Ohakuri Rise is a new venue, nestled by the stunning Lake Ohakuri, and is located
up in the hills of Taupō, about a 30 minute drive out of the city centre.
If you're flying from Aussie, you've got two airports to choose from to fly into.
There are plenty of direct flights into Auckland, with it then being a 3 hour drive to Taupō.
Jetstar has just added a direct Sydney to Hamilton flight. From here it is a less than 2 hour drive to Taupō. It's also a good spot to fly into if you were wanting to visit Rotorua or Mount Maunganui.
Our wedding lands in the middle of Easter weekend, meaning you will be best to lock in your accommodation soon, to get the best options and cheaper rates.
If you choose not to stay at either of the two pick up location hotels, below are some suggestions of accommodation that will be within walking distance from the first bus pick up location.

You may be keen to join up with other family members or friends attending the wedding, and book a whole home to stay in together.
Airbnb isn't as big in lil ol' NZ, so if you're looking to book a whole home, you're best to
widen your search to sites like bachcare, Stayz and bookabach.
So that you have easy access to the bus, we would recommend aiming your search around Waipahihi.
There's no dress code really - but we would like you to dress formal - think garden party/cocktail.
As much as we would love to have everyones kids at the wedding we have decided
to have only our nieces and nephews attend the day.
We really DON'T expect any gifts - seriously!
